⁴ and the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put ^(A)a mark on the foreheads of the men ^(B)who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”

⁴ They were commanded ^(A)not to harm ^(B)the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have ^(C)the seal of God on their foreheads.

²² who ^(A)also has sealed us and ^(B)given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

The Lamb and the 144,000

14 Then I looked, and behold, ^[a]a ^(A)Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him ^(B)one hundred and forty-four thousand, ^[b]having His Father’s name ^(C)written on their foreheads.

² Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, ³ saying, ^(A)“Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God ^(B)on their foreheads.”
