^2 (A)And put siegeworks against it, ^(B)and build a siege wall against it, ^(C)and cast up a mound against it. Set camps also against it, ^(D)and plant battering rams against it all around.

²² Into his right hand comes the divination for Jerusalem, ^(A)to set battering rams, to open the mouth with murder, to lift up the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, ^(B)to cast up mounds, to build siege towers.

⁴² saying, ^(A)“Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now ^(B)they are hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For ^(C)the days will come upon you, when your enemies ^(D)will set up a barricade around you and ^(E)surround you and hem you in on every side ^44 (F)and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And ^(G)they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know ^(H)the time of your ^(I)visitation.”

^4 (A)And in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came with all his army against Jerusalem, and laid siege to it. And they built siegeworks all around it.
