²⁰ As one gathers silver and bronze and iron and lead and tin into a furnace, ^(A)to blow the fire on it in order to melt it, so I will gather you ^(B)in my anger and in my wrath, and I will put you in and melt you.

¹³ On account of your unclean lewdness, because I would have cleansed you and you were not cleansed from your uncleanness, ^(A)you shall not be cleansed anymore till ^(B)I have satisfied my fury upon you.

³¹ And ^(A)I will pour out my indignation upon you; ^(B)I will blow upon you with the fire of my wrath, and I will deliver you into the hands of ^(C)brutish men, skillful to destroy. ³² You shall be fuel for the fire. Your blood shall be in the midst of the land. ^(D)You shall be no more remembered, ^(E)for I the Lord have spoken.”

¹¹ At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, “A hot wind from ^(A)the bare heights in the desert toward the daughter of my people, not to winnow or cleanse, ¹² a wind too full for this comes for me. Now it is I who ^(B)speak in judgment upon them.”
