^3 (A)“Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their hearts, and set ^(B)the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces. ^(C)Should I indeed let myself be consulted by them?

⁷ For any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, ^(A)who separates himself from me, taking his idols into his heart and putting the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to a prophet to consult me through him, ^(B)I the Lord will answer him myself.

¹⁹ They cast their silver into the streets, and their gold is like an unclean thing. ^(A)Their silver and gold are not able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it. ^(B)For it was ^(C)the stumbling block of their iniquity.

¹⁶ because they rejected my rules and did not walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths; ^(A)for their heart went after their idols.

^3 (A)“Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God, Is it to inquire of me that you come? ^(B)As I live, declares the Lord God, ^(C)I will not be inquired of by you.
