Ezechiele 4
La Nuova Diodati

4 «Tu, figlio d'uomo, prenditi una tavoletta d'argilla, mettila davanti a te e disegnavi sopra una città, Gerusalemme;

2 cingila d'assedio, costruisci contro di essa una torre, innalza contro di essa terrapieni, metti contro di essa accampamenti e colloca tutt'intorno ad essa gli arieti.

3 Prenditi poi una piastra di ferro e mettila come un muro di ferro tra te e la città; volgi la tua faccia contro di essa ed essa sarà assediata, e tu la cingerai d'assedio. Questo sarà un segno per la casa d'Israele.

4 Coricati quindi sul fianco sinistro e deponi su di esso l'iniquità della casa d'Israele. Per il numero di giorni in cui rimarrai coricato su di esso, porterai la loro iniquità.

5 Io ho infatti deposto su di te gli anni della loro iniquità in base al numero dei giorni a in cui rimarrai coricato: trecentonovanta giorni. Tu porterai cosí l'iniquità della casa d'Israele.

6 Terminati questi, ti coricherai di nuovo sul tuo fianco destro e porterai l'iniquità della casa di Giuda per quaranta giorni. Ho deposto su di te un giorno per ogni anno.

7 Tu volgerai la tua faccia e il tuo braccio nudo verso l'assedio di Gerusalemme e profetizzerai contro di essa.

8 Ed ecco, ti metto addosso delle corde e tu non potrai voltarti da un fianco all'altro, finché tu non abbia compiuto i giorni del tuo assedio.

9 Prenditi anche frumento, orzo, fave, lenticchie, miglio e farro, mettili in un vaso e fattene del pane; ne mangerai durante tutti i giorni in cui rimarrai coricato sul tuo fianco, e cioè per trecentonovanta giorni.

10 Il cibo che mangerai sarà del peso di venti sicli per giorno; lo mangerai in particolari momenti, ogni giorno.

11 Berrai pure acqua razionata: un sesto di un hin; la berrai in particolari momenti ogni giorno.

12 Mangerai questo cibo in forma di focacce d'orzo, che cuocerai con escrementi umani sotto i loro occhi».

13 Poi l'Eterno disse: «Cosí i figli d'Israele mangeranno il loro pane contaminato in mezzo alle nazioni tra le quali io li disperderò».

14 Allora io dissi: «Ah, Signore, Eterno, ecco, io non mi sono mai contaminato; dalla mia fanciullezza fino ad ora non ho mai mangiato carne di bestia morta naturalmente o sbranata, e non mi è mai entrata in bocca alcuna carne impura».

15 Egli allora mi disse: «Ecco, io ti do sterco di bue invece di escrementi umani, sopra quello cuocerai il tuo pane».

16 Poi mi disse: «Figlio d'uomo, io farò mancare il sostegno del pane in Gerusalemme; essi mangeranno il pane a peso e nell'afflizione e berranno l'acqua razionata nel terrore,

17 perché mancheranno di pane e acqua e si guarderanno l'un l'altro sgomenti, struggendosi nella loro iniquità».

Annunzio dell'assedio di Gerusalemme

4 «Tu, figlio dell'uomo, prendi una tavoletta d'argilla, mettila dinanzi a te, disegnaci sopra una città, Gerusalemme, 2 e disponi intorno ad essa l'assedio: rizza torri, costruisci terrapieni, schiera gli accampamenti e colloca intorno gli arieti. 3 Poi prendi una teglia di ferro e mettila come muro di ferro fra te e la città, e tieni fisso lo sguardo su di essa, che sarà assediata, anzi tu la assedierai! Questo sarà un segno per gli Israeliti.

4 Mettiti poi a giacere sul fianco sinistro e sconta su di esso la iniquità d'Israele. Per il numero di giorni in cui giacerai su di esso, espierai le sue iniquità: 5 io ho computato a te gli anni della sua espiazione come un numero di giorni. Per centonovanta giorni tu espierai le iniquità degli Israeliti.

6 Terminati questi, giacerai sul fianco destro e sconterai l'iniquità di Giuda per quaranta giorni, computando un giorno per ogni anno. 7 Terrai fisso lo sguardo contro il muro di Gerusalemme, terrai il braccio disteso e profeterai contro di essa. Ecco ti ho cinto di catene, 8 in modo che tu non potrai voltarti né da una parte né dall'altra finché tu non abbia compiuto i giorni della tua reclusione.

9 Prendi intanto grano, orzo, fave, lenticchie, miglio e spelta, mettili in un recipiente e fattene del pane: ne mangerai durante tutti i giorni che tu rimarrai disteso sul fianco, cioè per centonovanta giorni. 10 Il cibo che ti prenderai sarà del peso di venti sicli al giorno: lo consumerai nelle ventiquattr'ore. 11 Anche l'acqua che berrai sarà razionata: un sesto di hin, nelle ventiquattro ore. 12 Mangerai questo cibo in forma di una schiacciata d'orzo, che cuocerai sopra escrementi umani davanti ai loro occhi. 13 In tal maniera, mi disse il Signore, mangeranno gli Israeliti il loro pane impuro, in mezzo alle genti fra le quali li disperderò».

14 Io esclamai: «Ah, Signore Dio, mai mi sono contaminato! Dall'infanzia fino ad ora mai ho mangiato carne di bestia morta o sbranata, né mai è entrato nella mia bocca cibo impuro». 15 Egli mi rispose: «Ebbene, invece di escrementi umani ti concedo sterco di bue; lì sopra cuocerai il tuo pane».

16 Poi soggiunse: «Figlio dell'uomo, ecco io tolgo a Gerusalemme la riserva del pane; mangeranno il pane a razione e con angoscia e berranno l'acqua a misura in preda all'affanno; 17 così, mancando pane e acqua, languiranno tutti insieme e si consumeranno nella loro iniquità.

4 – А ты, смертный, возьми кирпич, положи перед собой и нарисуй на нём город Иерусалим. 2 Устрой против него осаду: сооруди укрепления, насыпь осадный вал, расположи под ним стан и окружи его стенобитными орудиями. 3 Возьми железный противень, поставь его железной стеной между собой и городом и повернись к нему лицом. Он будет осаждён, а ты осаждай его. Это будет знамением исраильтянам.

4 Ты же ляг на левый бок и возложи на себя[a] беззаконие[b] Исраила. Неси их беззаконие столько дней, сколько будешь лежать на боку. 5 Я определил тебе столько дней, сколько лет они грешили: триста девяносто дней ты будешь нести беззаконие Исраила. 6 Когда исполнишь это, ляг снова, но теперь на правый бок, и неси беззаконие Иудеи. Я определил тебе сорок дней, по дню за каждый год.[c] 7 Обрати лицо и обнажённую руку к осаждённому Иерусалиму и пророчествуй против него. 8 Смотри, Я налагаю на тебя путы, чтобы ты не мог перевернуться с одного бока на другой, пока не окончишь дней осады.

9 Возьми пшеницу и ячмень, фасоль и чечевицу, просо и полбу, положи в один сосуд и сделай себе лепёшки. Ты будешь есть их те триста девяносто дней, что будешь лежать на боку. 10 Отвесь по двести сорок граммов[d] лепёшек, чтобы съедать каждый день, и ешь их в установленное время. 11 Также отмерь один литр[e] воды и пей в установленное время. 12 Ешь свои лепёшки, как если бы они были ячменными; пеки их на глазах у людей на человеческом кале, – 13 сказал Вечный. – Вот так народ Исраила будет есть осквернённую пищу среди тех народов, к которым Я их изгоню.

14 Тогда я сказал:

– О нет, Владыка Вечный! Я никогда не осквернялся[f]. С юности и до сегодняшнего дня я никогда не ел ни мертвечины, ни растерзанного диким зверем. Нечистое мясо не входило в мои уста.

15 – Хорошо, – сказал Он, – Я позволяю тебе печь твои лепёшки на коровьем навозе вместо человеческого кала.

16 Потом Он сказал мне:

– Смертный, Я уничтожу запасы пищи в Иерусалиме. Люди будут есть свою порцию хлеба в тревоге и пить свою порцию воды в ужасе, 17 потому что пищи и воды не будет хватать. Они будут ужасаться при виде друг друга и угасать из-за своего греха[g].

4 “Now, son of man, take a block of clay, put it in front of you and draw the city of Jerusalem on it. 2 Then lay siege to it: Erect siege works against it, build a ramp(A) up to it, set up camps against it and put battering rams around it.(B) 3 Then take an iron pan,(C) place it as an iron wall between you and the city and turn your face toward(D) it. It will be under siege, and you shall besiege it. This will be a sign(E) to the people of Israel.(F)

4 “Then lie on your left side and put the sin of the people of Israel upon yourself.[a] You are to bear their sin for the number of days you lie on your side. 5 I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the people of Israel.

6 “After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin(G) of the people of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year.(H) 7 Turn your face(I) toward the siege of Jerusalem and with bared arm prophesy against her. 8 I will tie you up with ropes so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have finished the days of your siege.(J)

9 “Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt;(K) put them in a storage jar and use them to make bread for yourself. You are to eat it during the 390 days you lie on your side. 10 Weigh out twenty shekels[b](L) of food to eat each day and eat it at set times. 11 Also measure out a sixth of a hin[c] of water and drink it at set times.(M) 12 Eat the food as you would a loaf of barley bread; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement(N) for fuel.” 13 The Lord said, “In this way the people of Israel will eat defiled food among the nations where I will drive them.”(O)

14 Then I said, “Not so, Sovereign Lord!(P) I have never defiled myself. From my youth until now I have never eaten anything found dead(Q) or torn by wild animals. No impure meat has ever entered my mouth.(R)”

15 “Very well,” he said, “I will let you bake your bread over cow dung instead of human excrement.”

16 He then said to me: “Son of man, I am about to cut off(S) the food supply in Jerusalem. The people will eat rationed food in anxiety and drink rationed water in despair,(T) 17 for food and water will be scarce.(U) They will be appalled at the sight of each other and will waste away because of[d] their sin.(V)
