19 the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger(A) of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart(B) was hard and he would not listen,(C) just as the Lord had said.

The Plague of Flies

20 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning(D) and confront Pharaoh as he goes to the river and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship(E) me. 21 If you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies on you and your officials, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies; even the ground will be covered with them.

20 And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.

19 Nu varnar Gud dig, sa de inför Farao. Men Faraos hjärta var fortfarande hårt, och han ville inte höra på dem, precis som Herren hade sagt.

Flugsvärmar

20 Därefter sa Herren till Mose: Gå upp tidigt på morgonen så att du möter Farao när han går till floden för att bada, och säg då till honom: Herren säger: 'Låt mitt folk gå och fira gudstjänst inför mig.

21 Om du vägrar ska jag sända flugsvärmar över hela Egypten. Era hus ska bli uppfyllda av dem, och marken ska vara alldeles täckt av dem.
