13 And the Lord did what Moses asked. The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields. 14 They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them. 15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.

13 So the Lord did according to the word of Moses. And the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courtyards, and out of the fields. 14 They gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank. 15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was (A)relief, (B)he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the Lord had said.

13 Así lo hicieron. Aarón extendió la vara que tenía en la mano y golpeó el polvo del suelo, el cual se convirtió en una inmensa nube de mosquitos que atacaban a personas y animales. Todo el polvo del suelo de Egipto se transformó en mosquitos. 14 Los magos intentaron hacer lo mismo con sus artes mágicas, pero no lo lograron. Mientras tanto, los mosquitos seguían atacando a personas y animales. 15 Entonces los magos dijeron al faraón:

— ¡Esto es obra de Dios!

Pero el faraón seguía intransigente y no los escuchó, tal como había predicho el Señor.
