6 Yahweh said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.”
2 God spoke to Moses, and said to him, “I am Yahweh. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh I was not known to them. 4 I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens. 5 Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant. 6 Therefore tell the children of Israel, ‘I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments. 7 I will take you to myself for a people. I will be your God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Yahweh.’”
9 Moses spoke so to the children of Israel, but they didn’t listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
10 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 11 “Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.”
12 Moses spoke before Yahweh, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel haven’t listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, when I have uncircumcised lips?” 13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a command to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
14 These are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben. 15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon. 16 These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty-seven years. 17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families. 18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty-three years. 19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations. 20 Amram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron and Moses. The years of the life of Amram were one hundred thirty-seven years. 21 The sons of Izhar: Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri. 22 The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri. 23 Aaron took Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, as his wife; and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. 24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites. 25 Eleazar Aaron’s son took one of the daughters of Putiel as his wife; and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families. 26 These are that Aaron and Moses to whom Yahweh said, “Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.” 27 These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron.
28 On the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, 29 Yahweh said to Moses, “I am Yahweh. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I tell you.”
30 Moses said before Yahweh, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?”

6 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand(A) he will let them go;(B) because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”(C)
2 God also said to Moses, “I am the Lord.(D) 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty,[a](E) but by my name(F) the Lord[b](G) I did not make myself fully known to them. 4 I also established my covenant(H) with them to give them the land(I) of Canaan, where they resided as foreigners.(J) 5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning(K) of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant.(L)
6 “Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.(M) I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem(N) you with an outstretched arm(O) and with mighty acts of judgment.(P) 7 I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God.(Q) Then you will know(R) that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. 8 And I will bring you to the land(S) I swore(T) with uplifted hand(U) to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob.(V) I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.’”(W)
9 Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.(X)
10 Then the Lord said to Moses, 11 “Go, tell(Y) Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country.”(Z)
12 But Moses said to the Lord, “If the Israelites will not listen(AA) to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips[c]?”(AB)
Family Record of Moses and Aaron
13 Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron about the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he commanded them to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.(AC)
14 These were the heads of their families[d]:(AD)
The sons of Reuben(AE) the firstborn son of Israel were Hanok and Pallu, Hezron and Karmi. These were the clans of Reuben.
15 The sons of Simeon(AF) were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clans of Simeon.
16 These were the names of the sons of Levi(AG) according to their records: Gershon,(AH) Kohath and Merari.(AI) Levi lived 137 years.
17 The sons of Gershon, by clans, were Libni and Shimei.(AJ)
18 The sons of Kohath(AK) were Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.(AL) Kohath lived 133 years.
19 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi.(AM)
These were the clans of Levi according to their records.
20 Amram(AN) married his father’s sister Jochebed, who bore him Aaron and Moses.(AO) Amram lived 137 years.
21 The sons of Izhar(AP) were Korah, Nepheg and Zikri.
22 The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan(AQ) and Sithri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab(AR) and sister of Nahshon,(AS) and she bore him Nadab and Abihu,(AT) Eleazar(AU) and Ithamar.(AV)
24 The sons of Korah(AW) were Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These were the Korahite clans.
25 Eleazar son of Aaron married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas.(AX)
These were the heads of the Levite families, clan by clan.
26 It was this Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said, “Bring the Israelites out of Egypt(AY) by their divisions.”(AZ) 27 They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh(BA) king of Egypt about bringing the Israelites out of Egypt—this same Moses and Aaron.(BB)
Aaron to Speak for Moses
28 Now when the Lord spoke to Moses in Egypt, 29 he said to him, “I am the Lord.(BC) Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I tell you.”
30 But Moses said to the Lord, “Since I speak with faltering lips,(BD) why would Pharaoh listen to me?”

2 Dio parlò a Mosè e gli disse: «Io sono il Signore! 3 Sono apparso ad Abramo, a Isacco, a Giacobbe come Dio onnipotente, ma con il mio nome di Signore non mi son manifestato a loro. 4 Ho anche stabilito la mia alleanza con loro, per dar loro il paese di Canaan, quel paese dov'essi soggiornarono come forestieri. 5 Sono ancora io che ho udito il lamento degli Israeliti asserviti dagli Egiziani e mi sono ricordato della mia alleanza. 6 Per questo dì agli Israeliti: Io sono il Signore! Vi sottrarrò ai gravami degli Egiziani, vi libererò dalla loro schiavitù e vi libererò con braccio teso e con grandi castighi. 7 Io vi prenderò come mio popolo e diventerò il vostro Dio. Voi saprete che io sono il Signore, il vostro Dio, che vi sottrarrà ai gravami degli Egiziani. 8 Vi farò entrare nel paese che ho giurato a mano alzata di dare ad Abramo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe, e ve lo darò in possesso: io sono il Signore!».
9 Mosè parlò così agli Israeliti, ma essi non ascoltarono Mosè, perché erano all'estremo della sopportazione per la dura schiavitù.
10 Il Signore parlò a Mosè: 11 «Và e parla al faraone re d'Egitto, perché lasci partire dal suo paese gli Israeliti!». 12 Mosè disse alla presenza del Signore: «Ecco gli Israeliti non mi hanno ascoltato: come vorrà ascoltarmi il faraone, mentre io ho la parola impacciata?». 13 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aronne e diede loro un incarico presso gli Israeliti e presso il faraone re d'Egitto, per far uscire gli Israeliti dal paese d'Egitto.

14 Questi sono i capi delle loro famiglie. Figli di Ruben, primogenito d'Israele: Enoch, Pallu, Chezron e Carmi; queste sono le famiglie di Ruben.
15 Figli di Simeone: Iemuel, Iamin, Oad, Iachin, Socar e Saul, figlio della Cananea; queste sono le famiglie di Simeone.

27 Questi dissero al faraone re d'Egitto di lasciar uscire dall'Egitto gli Israeliti: Sono Mosè e Aronne.

6 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés:
—Agora verá o que farei com o faraó: usarei o meu grande poder contra ele, e ele até vai querer que vocês saiam do seu país depressa.
2 Depois Deus disse a Moisés:
—O meu nome é YAVÉ! 3 Apareci a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó como o Deus Todo-Poderoso[a]. Mas pelo meu nome, YAVÉ, eles não me conheceram. 4 Também fiz uma aliança com eles, prometi dar-lhes a terra de Canaã, a terra onde viveram como estrangeiros. 5 Quando ouvi os lamentos dos israelitas, a quem os egípcios escravizam, lembrei-me da minha aliança. 6 Portanto, vá dizer ao povo de Israel: “Eu sou o SENHOR! Venho tirar vocês da opressão, livrar vocês da escravidão, resgatar vocês com grande poder e castigar os egípcios. 7 Farei de vocês o meu povo e eu serei o seu Deus. Assim vocês saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, seu Deus, que os livra da opressão dos egípcios. 8 E eu levarei vocês para a terra que jurei dar a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó. E darei essa terra a vocês, para ser a sua terra. Eu sou o SENHOR!”
9 Então Moisés tentou falar isso aos israelitas, mas eles não o quiseram ouvir porque estavam desanimados, por causa de todo o trabalho que eram obrigados a fazer.
10 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés:
11 —Vá falar ao faraó, rei do Egito, que deixe os israelitas saírem do seu país.
12 Mas Moisés disse ao SENHOR:
—Os israelitas não quiseram me ouvir. Eu acho que o faraó também não vai querer me ouvir, visto que eu não sei falar bem[b].
13 Mas o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés e a Aarão que fossem falar com os israelitas e com o faraó, rei do Egito. E ordenou-lhes que tirassem o povo de Israel do Egito.
Os antepassados de Moisés e Aarão
14 Estes são os nomes dos chefes das famílias israelitas, por parte dos pais:
Os filhos de Rúben, o primeiro filho de Israel, foram Enoque, Palu, Hezrom e Carmi.
15 Os filhos de Simeão foram Jemuel, Jamim, Oade, Jaquim, Zoar e Saul, filho de uma mulher cananeia.
16 Levi viveu cento e trinta e sete anos. Os seus filhos foram Gérson, Coate e Merari.
17 Os filhos de Gérson, foram Libni e Simei, cada um com as suas respectivas famílias.
18 Coate viveu cento e trinta e três anos. Os seus filhos foram Anrão, Izar, Hebrom e Uziel.
19 Os filhos de Merari foram Mali e Musi.
Todos esses foram das famílias descendentes de Levi.
20 Anrão viveu cento e trinta e sete anos, casou-se com sua tia Joquebede e teve dois filhos chamados Aarão e Moisés.
21 Os filhos de Izar foram Coré, Nefegue e Zicri.
22 Os filhos de Uziel foram Misael, Elzafã e Sitri.
23 Aarão casou-se com Eliseba, filha de Aminadabe e irmã de Nassom. Ela deu à luz a Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar. 24 Os filhos de Coré foram Assir, Elcana e Abiasafe. Eles foram os descendentes de Coré.
25 Eleazar, filho de Aarão, casou-se com uma das filhas de Putiel, e ela deu à luz a Fineias.
Todos eles foram descendentes de Levi por famílias.
26 Foi a esse Aarão e a esse Moisés que o SENHOR disse: “Tirem os israelitas do Egito, organizados em batalhões”. 27 E foram eles, Moisés e Aarão, que falaram com o faraó, rei do Egito, para tirar os israelitas do Egito.

28 Quando o SENHOR falou com Moisés no Egito, 29 lhe disse:
—Eu sou o SENHOR! Diga ao faraó, rei do Egito, tudo o que lhe vou dizer.
30 Mas Moisés disse ao SENHOR:
—Visto que eu não sei falar bem, como é que o faraó vai ouvir o que eu digo?
