God Promises Action
6 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for [a](A)under compulsion he will let them go, and [b]under compulsion he will drive them out of his land.”
2 God spoke further to Moses and said to him, “I am (B)the Lord; 3 and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as [c](C)God Almighty, but by (D)My name, [d]Lord, I did not make Myself known to them. 4 I also established (E)My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the [e]land in which they lived as strangers. 5 Furthermore I have (F)heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant. 6 Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘(G)I am the Lord, and (H)I will bring you out from under the labors of the Egyptians, and I will rescue you from their bondage. I will also (I)redeem you with (J)an outstretched arm, and with great judgments. 7 Then I will take you [f](K)as My people, and (L)I will be [g]your God; and (M)you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the labors of the Egyptians. 8 I will bring you to the land which (N)I [h]swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and (O)I will give it to you as a possession; (P)I am the Lord.’” 9 So Moses said this to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses on (Q)account of their [i]despondency and cruel bondage.
10 Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 11 “(R)Go, [j]tell Pharaoh king of Egypt [k]to let the sons of Israel go out of his land.” 12 But Moses spoke before the Lord, saying, “Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; (S)how then will Pharaoh listen to me, as I am [l](T)unskilled in speech?” 13 Nevertheless, the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron and gave them a command concerning the sons of Israel and Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
The Heads of Israel
14 These are the heads of their fathers’ households. (U)The sons of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben. 15 And the (V)sons of Simeon: [m]Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon. 16 And these are the names of (W)the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari; and the [n]length of Levi’s life was 137 years. 17 (X)The sons of Gershon: [o]Libni and Shimei, according to their families. 18 And (Y)the sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel; and the [p]length of Kohath’s life was 133 years. 19 And (Z)the sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations. 20 Now (AA)Amram [q]married his father’s sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses; and the [r]length of Amram’s life was 137 years. 21 And (AB)the sons of Izhar: Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri. 22 And (AC)the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, [s]Elzaphan, and Sithri. 23 Aaron [t]married Elisheba, the daughter of (AD)Amminadab, the sister of (AE)Nahshon, and she bore him (AF)Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. 24 And the (AG)sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and [u]Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites. 25 Now Aaron’s son (AH)Eleazar [v]married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him (AI)Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites according to their families. 26 It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said, “(AJ)Bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their [w](AK)multitudes.” 27 They were the ones (AL)who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt [x]about bringing out the sons of Israel from Egypt; it was the same Moses and Aaron.
28 Now it came about on the day when the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, 29 that the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “(AM)I am the Lord; (AN)say to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.” 30 But Moses said before the Lord, “Behold, I am [y](AO)unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?”

6 El Señor respondió a Moisés:
«Ahora verás lo que voy a hacer con el faraón. Sólo con mano fuerte los dejará ir, y con mano fuerte los echará fuera de su tierra.»
2 Dios volvió a hablar con Moisés, y le dijo:
«Yo soy EL SEÑOR. 3 Me aparecí a Abrahán, Isaac y Jacob como “Dios Omnipotente”,(A) pero con el nombre de SEÑOR no me di a conocer a ellos. 4 También establecí con ellos mi pacto de darles la tierra de Canaán, la tierra donde vivieron como extranjeros. 5 Así mismo, he oído el gemido de los hijos de Israel, a quienes los egipcios obligan a trabajar, y me he acordado de mi pacto. 6 Por lo tanto, diles a los hijos de Israel: “Yo soy EL SEÑOR. Yo los voy a librar de los trabajos pesados en Egipto. Voy a liberarlos de su esclavitud. Con brazo extendido y con grandes juicios les daré libertad. 7 Los tomaré como mi pueblo, y seré su Dios; y ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor, su Dios, que los libró de los trabajos pesados en Egipto. 8 Voy a llevarlos a la tierra por la cual levanté mi mano y juré que se la daría a Abrahán, Isaac y Jacob. Yo les daré esa tierra en propiedad. Yo soy EL SEÑOR.”»
9 Esto mismo les dijo Moisés a los hijos de Israel, pero ellos no le hicieron caso debido a su espíritu acongojado y a la crueldad de su esclavitud. 10 Entonces el Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:
11 «Ve y habla con el faraón, el rey de Egipto. Dile que deje ir de su país a los hijos de Israel.»
12 Pero Moisés se encaró con el Señor y le respondió:
«Como sabes, los hijos de Israel no me hacen caso. Entonces, ¿cómo va a hacerme caso el faraón, si yo soy torpe de labios?»
13 El Señor habló con Moisés y Aarón, y les dio una orden para los hijos de Israel y para el faraón, rey de Egipto: tenían que sacar de Egipto a los hijos de Israel.
14 Éstos son los jefes de familia de sus antepasados:
De los hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel, sus familias fueron: Janoc, Falú, Jesrón y Carmi.
15 De los hijos de Simeón, sus familias fueron: Jemuel, Jamín, Oad, Jaquín, Sojar, y Saúl, que fue hijo de una cananea.
16 Leví llegó a vivir ciento treinta y siete años. Éstos son los nombres de los hijos de Leví, según sus linajes: Gersón, Coat y Merari. 17 Los hijos de Gersón fueron Libni y Simey, según sus familias. 18 Los hijos de Coat fueron Amirán, Isar, Hebrón y Uziel. Coat llegó a vivir ciento treinta y tres años. 19 Los hijos de Merari fueron Mali y Musi. Éstas son las familias de Leví, según sus linajes.(B)
20 Amirán tomó por mujer a su tía Jocabed, la cual dio a luz a Aarón y a Moisés. Amirán llegó a vivir ciento treinta y siete años. 21 Los hijos de Isar fueron Coré, Nefeg y Zicri. 22 Los hijos de Uziel fueron Misael, Elzafán y Sitri.
23 Aarón tomó por mujer a Elisabet, hija de Aminadab y hermana de Nasón, la cual dio a luz a Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar. 24 Los hijos de Coré fueron Asir, Elcana y Abiasaf. Éstas son las familias de los coreítas.
25 Eleazar hijo de Aarón tomó por mujer a una de las hijas de Futiel, la cual dio a luz a Finés. Éstos son los jefes de los antepasados de los levitas, según sus familias.
26 A este Aarón y a este Moisés el Señor les dijo: «Saquen de Egipto a los hijos de Israel en orden de batalla.» 27 Estos Moisés y Aarón fueron los que hablaron con el faraón, rey de Egipto, para sacar de Egipto a los hijos de Israel.
28 Cuando el Señor habló con Moisés en la tierra de Egipto, 29 le dijo:
«Yo soy EL SEÑOR. Habla con el faraón, rey de Egipto, y repítele todo lo que yo te he dicho a ti.»
30 Pero Moisés se encaró con el Señor y le respondió:
«Como sabes, yo soy torpe de labios, así que ¿cómo va a hacerme caso el faraón?»

6 Jehová respondió a Moisés: Ahora verás lo que yo haré a Faraón; porque con mano fuerte los dejará ir, y con mano fuerte los echará de su tierra. 2 Habló todavía Dios a Moisés, y le dijo: Yo soy JEHOVÁ. 3 Y aparecí a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob como Dios Omnipotente,(A) mas en mi nombre JEHOVÁ no me di a conocer a ellos. 4 También establecí mi pacto con ellos, de darles la tierra de Canaán, la tierra en que fueron forasteros, y en la cual habitaron. 5 Asimismo yo he oído el gemido de los hijos de Israel, a quienes hacen servir los egipcios, y me he acordado de mi pacto. 6 Por tanto, dirás a los hijos de Israel: Yo soy JEHOVÁ; y yo os sacaré de debajo de las tareas pesadas de Egipto, y os libraré de su servidumbre, y os redimiré con brazo extendido, y con juicios grandes; 7 y os tomaré por mi pueblo y seré vuestro Dios; y vosotros sabréis que yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios, que os sacó de debajo de las tareas pesadas de Egipto. 8 Y os meteré en la tierra por la cual alcé mi mano jurando que la daría a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob; y yo os la daré por heredad. Yo JEHOVÁ.
9 De esta manera habló Moisés a los hijos de Israel; pero ellos no escuchaban a Moisés a causa de la congoja de espíritu, y de la dura servidumbre. 10 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo: 11 Entra y habla a Faraón rey de Egipto, que deje ir de su tierra a los hijos de Israel. 12 Y respondió Moisés delante de Jehová: He aquí, los hijos de Israel no me escuchan; ¿cómo, pues, me escuchará Faraón, siendo yo torpe de labios? 13 Entonces Jehová habló a Moisés y a Aarón y les dio mandamiento para los hijos de Israel, y para Faraón rey de Egipto, para que sacasen a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto.
14 Estos son los jefes de las familias de sus padres: Los hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi; estas son las familias de Rubén. 15 Los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Zohar, y Saúl hijo de una cananea. 26 Este es aquel Aarón y aquel Moisés, a los cuales Jehová dijo: Sacad a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto por sus ejércitos. 27 Estos son los que hablaron a Faraón rey de Egipto, para sacar de Egipto a los hijos de Israel. Moisés y Aarón fueron estos.
28 Cuando Jehová habló a Moisés en la tierra de Egipto, 29 entonces Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo: Yo soy JEHOVÁ; di a Faraón rey de Egipto todas las cosas que yo te digo a ti. 30 Y Moisés respondió delante de Jehová: He aquí, yo soy torpe de labios; ¿cómo, pues, me ha de oír Faraón?
