24 And it came to pass on the way, at the (A)encampment, that the Lord (B)met him and sought to (C)kill him. 25 Then (D)Zipporah took (E)a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and [a]cast it at [b]Moses’ feet, and said, “Surely you are a husband of blood to me!” 26 So He let him go. Then she said, “You are a [c]husband of blood!”—because of the circumcision.

24 At a lodging place on the way (A)the Lord met him and (B)sought to put him to death. 25 Then (C)Zipporah took a (D)flint and cut off her son's foreskin and touched Moses'[a] feet with it and said, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me!” 26 So he let him alone. It was then that she said, “A bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.
