²⁴ At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met Moses^[a] and was about to kill^(A) him. ²⁵ But Zipporah^(B) took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin^(C) and touched Moses’ feet with it.^[b] “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me,” she said. ²⁶ So the Lord let him alone. (At that time she said “bridegroom of blood,” referring to circumcision.)

¹⁵ For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast.^(A) On the first day remove the yeast from your houses, for whoever eats anything with yeast in it from the first day through the seventh must be cut off^(B) from Israel.

¹⁹ For seven days no yeast is to be found in your houses. And anyone, whether foreigner^(A) or native-born, who eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off^(B) from the community of Israel.

³³ Whoever makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off^(A) from their people.’”

²⁰ But if anyone who is unclean^(A) eats any meat of the fellowship offering belonging to the Lord, they must be cut off from their people.^(B)

²⁵ Anyone who eats the fat of an animal from which a food offering may be^[a] presented to the Lord must be cut off from their people.

⁴ instead of bringing it to the entrance to the tent of meeting^(A) to present it as an offering to the Lord in front of the tabernacle of the Lord^(B)—that person shall be considered guilty of bloodshed; they have shed blood and must be cut off from their people.^(C)

²⁹ “‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people.

⁸ Whoever eats it will be held responsible^(A) because they have desecrated what is holy^(B) to the Lord; they must be cut off from their people.^(C)

¹⁷ “‘If a man marries his sister^(A), the daughter of either his father or his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They are to be publicly removed^(B) from their people. He has dishonored his sister and will be held responsible.^(C)
