39 And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the Lord commanded Moses.
2 And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
3 And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with cunning work.
4 They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.
5 And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the Lord commanded Moses.
6 And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.
7 And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.
8 And he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9 It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.
10 And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.
11 And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
12 And the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
13 And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were inclosed in ouches of gold in their inclosings.
14 And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes.
15 And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.
16 And they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate.
17 And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.
18 And the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, before it.
19 And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon the border of it, which was on the side of the ephod inward.
20 And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
21 And they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the Lord commanded Moses.
22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.
23 And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.
24 And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.
25 And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;
26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the Lord commanded Moses.
27 And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,
28 And a mitre of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen,
29 And a girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework; as the Lord commanded Moses.
30 And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, Holiness To The Lord.
31 And they tied unto it a lace of blue, to fasten it on high upon the mitre; as the Lord commanded Moses.
32 Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.
33 And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,
34 And the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers' skins, and the vail of the covering,
35 The ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the mercy seat,
36 The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread,
37 The pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,
38 And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the tabernacle door,
39 The brasen altar, and his grate of brass, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,
40 The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation,
41 The cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons' garments, to minister in the priest's office.
42 According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.
43 And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

The Priestly Garments
39 From the blue, purple and scarlet yarn(A) they made woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary.(B) They also made sacred garments(C) for Aaron, as the Lord commanded Moses.
The Ephod(D)
2 They[a] made the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen. 3 They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut strands to be worked into the blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen—the work of skilled hands. 4 They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, which were attached to two of its corners, so it could be fastened. 5 Its skillfully woven waistband was like it—of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen, as the Lord commanded Moses.
6 They mounted the onyx stones in gold filigree settings and engraved them like a seal with the names of the sons of Israel. 7 Then they fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial(E) stones for the sons of Israel, as the Lord commanded Moses.
The Breastpiece(F)
8 They fashioned the breastpiece(G)—the work of a skilled craftsman. They made it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen. 9 It was square—a span[b] long and a span wide—and folded double. 10 Then they mounted four rows of precious stones on it. The first row was carnelian, chrysolite and beryl; 11 the second row was turquoise, lapis lazuli and emerald; 12 the third row was jacinth, agate and amethyst; 13 the fourth row was topaz, onyx and jasper.[c] They were mounted in gold filigree settings. 14 There were twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.(H)
15 For the breastpiece they made braided chains of pure gold, like a rope. 16 They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and fastened the rings to two of the corners of the breastpiece. 17 They fastened the two gold chains to the rings at the corners of the breastpiece, 18 and the other ends of the chains to the two settings, attaching them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front. 19 They made two gold rings and attached them to the other two corners of the breastpiece on the inside edge next to the ephod. 20 Then they made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the seam just above the waistband of the ephod. 21 They tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the ephod with blue cord, connecting it to the waistband so that the breastpiece would not swing out from the ephod—as the Lord commanded Moses.
Other Priestly Garments(I)
22 They made the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth—the work of a weaver— 23 with an opening in the center of the robe like the opening of a collar,[d] and a band around this opening, so that it would not tear. 24 They made pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen around the hem of the robe. 25 And they made bells of pure gold and attached them around the hem between the pomegranates. 26 The bells and pomegranates alternated around the hem of the robe to be worn for ministering, as the Lord commanded Moses.
27 For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen(J)—the work of a weaver— 28 and the turban(K) of fine linen, the linen caps and the undergarments of finely twisted linen. 29 The sash was made of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn—the work of an embroiderer—as the Lord commanded Moses.
30 They made the plate, the sacred emblem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: holy to the Lord.(L) 31 Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban,(M) as the Lord commanded Moses.
Moses Inspects the Tabernacle(N)
32 So all the work on the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was completed. The Israelites did everything just as the Lord commanded Moses.(O) 33 Then they brought the tabernacle(P) to Moses: the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases; 34 the covering of ram skins dyed red and the covering of another durable leather[e] and the shielding curtain; 35 the ark of the covenant law(Q) with its poles and the atonement cover; 36 the table(R) with all its articles and the bread of the Presence;(S) 37 the pure gold lampstand(T) with its row of lamps and all its accessories,(U) and the olive oil(V) for the light; 38 the gold altar,(W) the anointing oil,(X) the fragrant incense,(Y) and the curtain(Z) for the entrance to the tent; 39 the bronze altar(AA) with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the basin(AB) with its stand; 40 the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard;(AC) the ropes and tent pegs for the courtyard; all the furnishings for the tabernacle, the tent of meeting; 41 and the woven garments(AD) worn for ministering in the sanctuary, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when serving as priests.
42 The Israelites had done all the work just as the Lord had commanded Moses.(AE) 43 Moses inspected the work and saw that they had done it just as the Lord had commanded.(AF) So Moses blessed(AG) them.

39 Del azul, púrpura y carmesí se hicieron las vestiduras del ministerio para servir en el santuario, y se hicieron también las vestiduras sagradas para Aarón, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
2 Se hizo también el efod de oro con azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido. 3 Se hicieron láminas de oro, y se cortaron hilos para entretejerlos primorosamente con el azul, la púrpura, el carmesí y el lino. 4 Se hicieron las hombreras, para que se juntaran y quedaran unidas en sus dos extremos. 5 El cinto del efod que iba sobre éste era del mismo material y elaborado de la misma manera: de oro, azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
6 Se labraron las piedras de ónice y se montaron en engastes de oro, con grabados de sello y con los nombres de los hijos de Israel, 7 y se pusieron sobre las hombreras del efod, como piedras memoriales para los hijos de Israel, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
8 Se hizo también el pectoral, bellamente trabajado, de la misma manera que el efod: de oro, azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido. 9 Era cuadrado, y doble, y medía veintidós centímetros de largo y veintidós centímetros de ancho. 10 Se engastaron en él cuatro hileras de piedras preciosas. La primera hilera tenía un sardio, un topacio y un carbunclo; 11 la segunda hilera tenía una esmeralda, un zafiro y un diamante; 12 la tercera hilera tenía un jacinto, una ágata y una amatista, 13 y la cuarta hilera tenía un berilo, un ónice y un jaspe. Todas las piedras estaban montadas en engastes de oro. 14 Eran doce piedras, según el número de los nombres de los hijos de Israel, y cada grabado de sello tenía el nombre de una de las doce tribus. 15 Se hicieron también sobre el pectoral los cordones de oro puro en forma de trenza. 16 Se hicieron también dos engastes y dos anillos de oro, y se pusieron dos anillos de oro en los dos extremos del pectoral. 17 Los dos cordones de oro se fijaron en los dos anillos, en los extremos del pectoral. 18 Se fijaron también los otros dos extremos de los dos cordones de oro en los dos engastes que había por delante, sobre las hombreras del efod. 19 Se hicieron también otros dos anillos de oro, los cuales pusieron en los dos extremos del pectoral, en su orilla, frente a la parte baja del efod. 20 Se hicieron además dos anillos de oro, los cuales se pusieron en la parte delantera de las dos hombreras del efod, hacia abajo, cerca de su juntura, sobre el cinto del efod. 21 Y ataron el pectoral por sus anillos a los anillos del efod con un cordón de azul, para que quedara sobre el cinto del mismo efod y no se apartara del efod el pectoral, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
22 Se hizo también el manto del efod, tejido artísticamente, todo de azul, 23 con una abertura en el centro, como el cuello de un coselete, con un borde alrededor de la abertura, para que no se rompiera. 24 En las orillas del manto se hicieron granadas de azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido. 25 Se hicieron también campanillas de oro puro, y se pusieron campanillas entre las granadas en las orillas del manto, alrededor, entre las granadas; 26 una campanilla y una granada, otra campanilla y otra granada, en las orillas alrededor del manto, para ministrar, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
27 De igual manera, para Aarón y para sus hijos se hicieron las túnicas de lino fino, tejidas artísticamente, 28 lo mismo que la mitra de lino fino, y los adornos de las tiaras de lino fino, y los calzoncillos de lino torcido. 29 También el cinto de lino torcido, de azul, púrpura y carmesí, recamado artísticamente, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
30 Se hizo también la placa de oro puro para la diadema santa, y se escribió en ella, a manera de sello: CONSAGRADO AL SEÑOR. 31 En ella se puso un cordón de azul para colocarla por arriba de la mitra, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
Termina la obra del tabernáculo(B)
32 Así concluyó la obra del tabernáculo de reunión, y los hijos de Israel hicieron todo tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés. 33 Y llevaron el tabernáculo a Moisés, es decir, el tabernáculo y todos sus utensilios: sus corchetes, sus tablas, sus travesaños, sus columnas, sus bases, 34 la cubierta de piel de carnero teñida de rojo, la cubierta de piel de delfín, el velo del frente, 35 el arca del testimonio y sus varas, el propiciatorio, 36 la mesa con todos sus vasos, el pan de la proposición, 37 el candelero de oro puro, sus lamparillas, las lamparillas que debían mantenerse en orden y todos sus utensilios, el aceite para las lámparas, 38 el altar de oro, el aceite de la unción, el incienso aromático, la cortina para la entrada del tabernáculo, 39 el altar de bronce con su enrejado de bronce, sus varas y todos sus utensilios, la fuente y su base, 40 las cortinas del atrio, sus columnas y sus bases, la cortina para la entrada del atrio, sus cuerdas y sus estacas, todos los utensilios del servicio del tabernáculo de reunión, 41 las vestiduras del servicio para ministrar en el santuario, las vestiduras sagradas para el sacerdote Aarón, y las vestiduras de sus hijos, para ministrar en el sacerdocio. 42 Los hijos de Israel hicieron todo en conformidad con todo lo que el Señor le había ordenado a Moisés. 43 Y cuando Moisés vio toda la obra, y comprobó que la habían hecho tal y como el Señor lo había ordenado, los bendijo.

Making the Priestly Garments

2 (D)He made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen. 3 And they hammered out gold leaf, and he cut it into threads to work into the blue and purple and the scarlet yarns, and into the fine twined linen, in skilled design. 4 They made for the ephod attaching shoulder pieces, joined to it at its two edges. 5 And the skillfully woven band on it was of one piece with it and made like it, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6 They made the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold filigree, and engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 7 And he set them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod to be stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Thus they attached it in front to the shoulder pieces of the ephod. 19 Then they made two rings of gold, and put them at the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inside edge next to the ephod. 20 And they made two rings of gold, and attached them in front to the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, at its seam above the skillfully woven band of the ephod. 21 And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, so that it should lie on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece should not come loose from the ephod, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 (F)He also made the robe of the ephod woven all of blue, 23 and the opening of the robe in it was like the opening in a garment, with a binding around the opening, so that it might not tear. 24 On the hem of the robe they made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. 25 They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around the hem of the robe, between the pomegranates— 26 a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate around the hem of the robe for ministering, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
27 (G)They also made the coats, woven of fine (H)linen, for Aaron and his sons, 28 and the (I)turban of fine linen, and the caps of fine linen, and the linen undergarments of fine twined linen, 29 and the sash of fine twined linen and of blue and purple and scarlet yarns, embroidered with needlework, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
