The Things Numbered for the Tabernacle

21 These are the things numbered for the [a]tabernacle, the [b]tabernacle of the testimony, as they were [c]numbered according to the [d]command of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 22 Now (A)Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that Yahweh had commanded Moses. 23 With him was (B)Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, a craftsman and a skillful designer and a [e]weaver in [f]blue and in purple and in scarlet material and fine linen.

24 All the gold that was used for the work, in all the work of the sanctuary, even the gold of the wave offering, was [g]29 talents and [h]730 shekels, according to (C)the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 (D)The silver of those of the congregation who were [i]numbered was [j]100 talents and [k]1,775 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; 26 (E)a beka a head (that is, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary), for each one who passed over to those who were [l]numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for (F)603,550 men. 27 One hundred talents of silver were for casting the bases of the sanctuary and the bases of the veil; one hundred bases for one hundred talents, a talent for a base. 28 Of the 1,775 shekels, he made hooks for the pillars and overlaid their tops and made bands for them. 29 The bronze of the wave offering was 70 talents and 2,400 shekels. 30 With it he made the bases to the doorway of the tent of meeting, and the bronze altar and its bronze grating, and all the utensils of the altar, 31 and the bases of the court all around and the bases of the gate of the court, and all the pegs of the [m]tabernacle and all the pegs of the court all around.

The Materials

21 These are the inventories of the material used for the Dwelling, that is, the Dwelling of the Testimony, as they were recorded by the Levites under the direction of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest, as Moses had commanded. 22 Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah, made all that the Lord had commanded Moses. 23 With him was Oholiab son of Ahisamak, from the tribe of Dan, an engraver, a skilled workman, and an embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet material and in fine linen.

24 All the gold that was used for all the work of the sanctuary project (that is, the gold from the wave offering) was 29 talents and 730 shekels,[a] measured by the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 The silver received from those who were counted in the census of the community was 100 talents and 1,775 shekels, measured by the shekel of the sanctuary. 26 The rate was one beka a head (that is, half a shekel a head), measured by the shekel of the sanctuary. One beka was given by each man as he passed over to those who had been counted—a beka each was given by 603,550 men from twenty years old and older. 27 The one hundred talents of silver were used for casting the sockets for the sanctuary and the sockets for the veil. One hundred sockets were made from the one hundred talents, a talent per socket.[b] 28 From the 1,775 shekels, Bezalel made hooks for the posts, overlaid their capitals, and made connectors for them. 29 The bronze from the offering was 70 talents and 2,400 shekels. 30 With this he made the sockets for the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grate for it, all the utensils for the altar, 31 the sockets around the courtyard, the sockets for the gate of the courtyard, all the stakes for the tent, and all the stakes around the courtyard.
