They took from Moses’s presence all the contributions that the Israelites had brought for the task of making the sanctuary. Meanwhile, the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning.

Then all the artisans who were doing all the work for the sanctuary came one by one from the work they were doing and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than is needed(A) for the construction of the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

So all the skilled workers who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left what they were doing and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough(B) for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;

And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make.

Essi ricevettero da Mosè ogni contributo portato dagli Israeliti per il lavoro della costruzione del santuario. Ma gli Israeliti continuavano a portare ogni mattina offerte volontarie. Allora tutti gli artisti, che eseguivano i lavori per il santuario, lasciarono il lavoro che stavano facendo e vennero a dire a Mosè: «Il popolo porta più di quanto è necessario per il lavoro che il Signore ha ordinato».
