30 (A)Then Moses said to the sons of Israel, “See, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 31 And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in discernment, and in knowledge, and in all [a]craftsmanship; 32 to devise [b]designs for working in gold and in silver and in [c]bronze, 33 and in the cutting of stones for settings and in the carving of wood, so as to do well in every work of thoughtful design. 34 He also has put in his heart to teach, both he and (B)Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 (C)He has filled them with [d]wisdom in their heart to do every work of an engraver and of a designer and of an embroiderer, in [e]blue and in purple and in scarlet material and in fine linen, and of a weaver, as those who do every work and make designs.

36 “Now Bezalel and Oholiab and every person [f]wise at heart, to whom Yahweh has given [g]wisdom and discernment to know how to do all the work of the service of constructing the sanctuary, shall do in accordance with all that Yahweh has commanded.”

Making the Tabernacle

Then Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every person [h]wise at heart to whom Yahweh had given [i]wisdom, (D)everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to the work to do it. And they received from Moses the entire [j]contribution which the sons of Israel had brought [k]to do the work in the service of the sanctuary. And they still continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning. And all the [l]wise men who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from [m]the work which [n]he was doing, and they said to [o]Moses, “(E)The people are bringing much more than enough for the service of the work which Yahweh commanded us to [p]do.” So Moses commanded and a [q]proclamation was passed throughout the camp, saying, “Let no man or woman any longer do the work for the [r]contributions of the sanctuary.” Thus the people were restrained from bringing any more. (F)Indeed, the [s]material they had was sufficient and more than enough for all the work, to do it.

The Artisans Called by God(A)

30 And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, (B)the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, 32 to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship.

34 “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and (C)Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has (D)filled them with skill to do all manner of work of the engraver and the designer and the tapestry maker, in blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen, and of the weaver—those who do every work and those who design artistic works.

Building the Tabernacle

36 “And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every (E)gifted artisan in whom the Lord has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the (F)sanctuary,[a] shall do according to all that the Lord has commanded.”

The People Give More than Enough

Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone (G)whose heart [b]was stirred, to come and do the work. And they received from Moses all the (H)offering which the children of Israel (I)had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning. Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing, and they spoke to Moses, saying, (J)“The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.”

So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too (K)much.
