Exodus 34:5-7

5 And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.
6 So the Lord passed before his face, and [a]cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, merciful, and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth.
7 Reserving mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity, and transgression and sin, and not [b]making the wicked innocent, (A)visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon children’s children, unto the third and fourth generation.
