So the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by Mount Horeb.

Moses Meets with the Lord

Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and (A)called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who (B)sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp. So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood (C)at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle.

The Tent of Meeting

Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and (A)he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who (B)sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp. Whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise up, and (C)each would stand at his tent door, and watch Moses until he had gone into the tent.
