²⁰ But He said, “You cannot see My face, ^(A)for no man can see Me and live!”

^18 (A)No one has seen God at any time; ^(B)the only begotten God who is ^(C)in the bosom of the Father, ^(D)He has explained Him.

¹⁴ that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the ^(A)appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ which He will ^[a]bring about at ^(B)the proper time—He who is ^(C)the blessed and ^(D)only Sovereign, ^(E)the King of ^[b]kings and ^(F)Lord of ^[c]lords, ^16 (G)who alone possesses immortality and ^(H)dwells in unapproachable light, ^(I)whom no man has seen or can see. ^(J)To Him be honor and eternal dominion!
