⁷ And the Lord said to Moses, ^(A)“Go down, for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have ^(B)corrupted themselves. ⁸ They have turned aside quickly out of the way that ^(C)I commanded them. They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it and said, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!’”

²³ and ^(A)exchanged the glory of ^(B)the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

⁹ For they themselves report concerning us the kind of ^(A)reception we had among you, and how ^(B)you turned to God ^(C)from idols to serve the living and ^(D)true God, ¹⁰ and ^(E)to wait for his Son ^(F)from heaven, ^(G)whom he raised from the dead, Jesus ^(H)who delivers us from ^(I)the wrath to come.

²¹ Little children, ^(A)keep yourselves from idols.
