¹² Why should ^(A)the Egyptians talk, saying, ‘With evil motives He brought them out, to kill them on the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent of doing harm to Your people.

⁴ And the Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and ^[a]execute them ^[b]in broad daylight before the Lord, ^(A)so that the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.”
