Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, and say, [a]Notwithstanding keep ye my Sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you in your generations, that ye may know that I the Lord do sanctify you.

(A)Ye shall therefore keep the [b]Sabbath: for it is holy unto you: he that defileth it, shall die the death: therefore whosoever worketh therein, the same person shall be even cut off from among his people.

Six days shall men work, but in the seventh day is the Sabbath of the holy rest to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, shall die the death.

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, that they may observe the [c]rest throughout their generations for an everlasting Covenant.

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever: (B)for in six days the Lord made the heaven and the earth, and in the seventh day [d]he ceased and rested.
