Exodus 30:17-21

New American Standard Bible

¹⁷Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁸“You shall also make ^(A)a basin of ^[a]bronze, with its base of bronze, for washing; and you shall ^(B)put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it. ¹⁹Aaron and his sons shall ^(C)wash their hands and their feet from it; ²⁰when they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, so that they do not die; or when they approach the altar to minister, by offering up in smoke a fire sacrifice to the Lord. ²¹So they shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they do not die; and ^(D)it shall be a permanent statute for them, for ^[b]Aaron and his ^[c]descendants throughout their generations.”

You shall ^(B)put it between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. And you shall put water in it, ¹⁹for Aaron and his sons ^(C)shall wash their hands and their feet in water from it. ²⁰When they go into the tabernacle of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire to the Lord, they shall wash with water, lest they die. ²¹So they shall wash their hands and their feet, lest they die. And ^(D)it shall be a ^[b]statute forever to them—to him and his descendants throughout their generations.”
