²⁰ So ^(A)I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with ^(B)all the wonders that I will do in it; ^(C)after that he will let you go.

^36 (A)This man led them out, performing ^(B)wonders and signs ^(C)in Egypt and ^(D)at the Red Sea and ^(E)in the wilderness for ^(F)forty years.

^10 (A)and performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land, for you knew that ^(B)they acted arrogantly against our fathers. And ^(C)you made a name for yourself, as it is to this day.

²² And ^(A)the Lord showed signs and wonders, great and grievous, against Egypt and against Pharaoh and all his household, before our eyes.

¹⁵ For by now I could have put out my hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.

⁶ Say therefore to the people of Israel, ^(A)‘I am the Lord, and ^(B)I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and ^(C)I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.

³⁹ And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough that they had brought out of Egypt, for it was not leavened, because ^(A)they were thrust out of Egypt and ^(B)could not wait, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves.

³¹ Then he summoned Moses and Aaron by night and said, “Up, go out from among my people, ^(A)both you and the people of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as you have said. ^32 (B)Take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone, and bless me also!”

The Exodus

^33 (C)The Egyptians were urgent with the people to send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.”

⁸ And ^(A)all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down to me, saying, ‘Get out, you and all the people who follow you.’ And after that I will go out.” And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger. ⁹ Then the Lord said to Moses, ^(B)“Pharaoh will not listen to you, that ^(C)my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
