La Nuova Diodati
29 Questo è ciò che farai per consacrarli perché mi servano come sacerdoti. Prendi un torello e due montoni senza difetto,
2 dei pani senza lievito, delle focacce senza lievito intrise con olio e delle schiacciate senza Lievito unte d'olio; (le farai con fior di farina di grano).
3 Le metterai in un paniere e le porterai nel paniere insieme al torello e ai due montoni.
4 Farai avvicinare Aaronne e i suoi figli all'ingresso della tenda di convegno e li laverai con acqua.
5 Poi prenderai le vesti e rivestirai Aaronne della tunica, del mantello dell'efod, dell'efod e del pettorale, e lo cingerai della cintura artisticamente lavorata dell'efod.
6 Gli porrai in capo il turbante e metterai sul turbante il diadema sacro.
7 Poi prenderai l'olio dell'unzione, lo verserai sul suo capo e lo ungerai.
8 Farai quindi avvicinare i suoi figli e li rivestirai delle tuniche.
9 Cingerai Aaronne e i suoi figli con delle cinture e metterai su di loro dei copricapo; il sacerdozio apparterrà loro per statuto perenne. Così consacrerai Aaronne e i suoi figli.
10 Poi farai avvicinare il torello davanti alla tenda di convegno; e Aaronne e i suoi figli poseranno le loro mani sulla testa del torello.
11 E scannerai il torello davanti all'Eterno, all'ingresso della tenda di convegno.
12 Prenderai quindi del sangue del torello e lo metterai col tuo dito sui corni dell'altare, e verserai tutto il resto del sangue ai piedi dell'altare.
13 prenderai pure tutto il grasso che copre gli intestini, il lobo attaccato al fegato e i due reni con il grasso che vi è sopra, e li farai fumare sull'altare.
14 Ma la carne del torello, la sua pelle, e i suoi escrementi li brucerai col fuoco fuori del campo: è un sacrificio per il peccato.
15 Poi prenderai uno dei montoni e Aaronne e i suoi figli poseranno le loro mani sulla testa del montone.
16 Scannerai il montone, prenderai il suo sangue e lo spruzzerai tutt'intorno sull'altare.
17 Poi taglierai a pezzi il montone, laverai i suoi intestini e le sue gambe, e le metterai con i suoi pezzi e con la sua testa.
18 Farai quindi fumare tutto il montone sull'altare: è un olocausto all'Eterno; è un profumo gradevole, un sacrificio fatto mediante il fuoco all'Eterno.
19 Poi prenderai l'altro montone, e Aaronne e i suoi figli poseranno le loro mani sulla testa del montone.
20 Scannerai il montone, prenderai del suo sangue e lo metterai sul lobo dell'orecchio destro di Aaronne e sul lobo dell'orecchio destro dei suoi figli, sul pollice della loro mano destra e sul dito grosso del loro piede destro, e spruzzerai tutt'intorno il sangue sull'altare.
21 prenderai quindi del sangue che è sull'altare e dell'olio dell'unzione e ne aspergerai Aaronne e le sue vesti, i suoi figli e le vesti dei suoi figli con lui. Così saranno consacrati lui e le sue vesti, i suoi figli e le loro vesti con lui.
22 Prenderai pure il grasso del montone il grasso della coda, il grasso che copre gli intestini, il lobo del fegato, i due reni e il grasso che vi è sopra e la coscia destra, (perché è un montone di consacrazione);
23 prenderai anche un pane, una focaccia all'olio e una schiacciata dal paniere del pane azzimo, che è davanti all'Eterno,
24 e porrai tutte queste cose nelle mani di Aaronne e nelle mani dei suoi figli, e le agiterai come offerta agitata davanti all'Eterno.
25 Poi le prenderai dalle loro mani e le farai fumare sull'altare, sopra l'olocausto, come un profumo gradevole davanti all'Eterno; è un sacrificio fatto mediante il fuoco all'Eterno.
26 Prenderai quindi il petto del montone usato per la consacrazione di Aaronne e lo agiterai come offerta agitata davanti all'Eterno; e questa sarà la tua parte,
27 E del montone usato per la consacrazione conserverai il petto dell'offerta agitata e la coscia dell'offerta elevata, che spettano ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli.
28 Esso sarà da parte dei figli d'Israele per Aaronne e per i suoi figli in statuto perenne, perché è un'offerta di elevazione. Sarà un'offerta di elevazione da parte dei figli d'Israele presa dai loro sacrifici di ringraziamento, la loro offerta di elevazione all'Eterno.
29 E le vesti sacre di Aaronne passeranno ai suoi figli dopo di lui, perché siano unte in loro e consacrate in loro.
30 Quel figlio che diviene sacerdote al suo posto le indosserà per sette giorni, quando entrerà nella tenda di convegno per fare il servizio nel luogo santo.
31 Poi prenderai il montone della consacrazione e farai cuocere la sua carne in un luogo santo;
32 e Aaronne e i suoi figli mangeranno, all'ingresso della tenda di convegno, la carne del montone e il pane che è nel paniere.
33 Mangeranno le cose che sono servite per fare l'espiazione per consacrarli e santificarli; ma nessun estraneo ne mangerà, perché sono cose sante.
34 E se rimarrà della carne della consacrazione o del pane fino al mattino, brucerai ciò che resta col fuoco; non lo si mangerà, perché è cosa santa.
35 Farai dunque per Aaronne e per i suoi figli tutto ciò che ti ho ordinato: li consacrerai per sette giorni.
36 E ogni giorno offrirai un torello, come sacrificio per il peccato, per fare l'espiazione per esso e lo ungerai per consacrarlo.
37 Per sette giorni farai l'espiazione per l'altare e lo santificherai; l'altare sarà santissimo: tutto ciò che toccherà l'altare sarà santo.
38 Or questo è ciò che offrirai sull'altare: due agnelli di un anno ogni giorno, per sempre.
39 Uno degli agnelli l'offrirai al mattino e l'altro l'offrirai sull'imbrunire.
40 Col primo agnello offrirai un decimo di efa di fior di farina impastata con un quarto di hin di olio vergine, e una libazione di un quarto di hin di vino.
41 Il secondo agnello l'offrirai sull'imbrunire; l'accompagnerai con la stessa oblazione e con la stessa libazione della mattina; è un sacrificio di profumo gradevole offerto mediante il fuoco all'Eterno.
42 Sarà un olocausto perpetuo per tutte le future generazioni, offerto all'ingresso della tenda di convegno, davanti all'Eterno, dove io vi incontrerò per parlarti.
43 E là io mi incontrerò coi figli d'Israele; e la tenda sarà santificata dalla mia gloria.
44 Così santificherò la tenda di convegno e l'altare; santificherò pure Aaronne e i suoi figli, perché mi servano come sacerdoti.
45 Dimorerò in mezzo ai figli d'Israele e sarò il loro DIO.
46 Ed essi conosceranno che io sono l'Eterno, il loro DIO, che li ho fatti uscire dal paese d'Egitto per dimorare tra di loro. Io sono l'Eterno, il loro DIO».

Consecration of the Priests
29 “(A)Now this is [a]what you shall do to them to consecrate them to minister as priests to Me: take one young bull and two rams without blemish, 2 and (B)unleavened bread and unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers [b]spread with oil; you shall make them of fine wheat flour. 3 You shall put them in one basket, and present them in the basket along with the bull and the two rams. 4 Then (C)you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. 5 You shall take the garments, and put on Aaron the (D)tunic and (E)the robe of the ephod and (F)the ephod and (G)the [c]breastpiece, and gird him with the skillfully (H)woven band of the ephod; 6 and you shall set the (I)turban on his head and put (J)the holy crown on the turban. 7 Then you shall take (K)the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him. 8 You shall bring his sons and put (L)tunics on them. 9 You shall gird them with (M)sashes, Aaron and his sons, and bind [d]caps on them, and they shall have (N)the priesthood by a perpetual statute. So you shall [e](O)ordain Aaron and his sons.
The Sacrifices
10 “Then you shall bring the bull before the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall (P)lay their hands on the head of the bull. 11 You shall slaughter the bull before the Lord at the doorway of the tent of meeting. 12 You shall (Q)take some of the blood of the bull and put it on (R)the horns of the altar with your finger; and you shall pour out all the blood at the base of the altar. 13 You shall (S)take all the fat that covers the entrails and the [f]lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and offer them up in smoke on the altar. 14 But (T)the flesh of the bull and its hide and its refuse, you shall burn with fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering.
15 “(U)You shall also take the one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram; 16 and you shall slaughter the ram and shall take its blood and sprinkle it around on the altar. 17 Then you shall cut the ram into its pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and put them [g]with its pieces and [h]its head. 18 You shall offer up in smoke the whole ram on the altar; it is a burnt offering to the Lord: (V)it is a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord.
19 “Then (W)you shall take the [i]other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram. 20 You shall slaughter the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and on the lobes of his sons’ right ears and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet, and sprinkle the rest of the blood around on the altar. 21 Then you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the (X)anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and on his garments and on his sons and on his sons’ garments with him; so he and his garments shall be consecrated, as well as his sons and his sons’ garments with him.
22 “You shall also take the fat from the ram and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the entrails and the [j]lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them and the right thigh (for it is a ram of [k]ordination), 23 and one cake of bread and (Y)one cake of bread mixed with oil and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread which is set before the Lord; 24 and you shall put [l]all these [m]in the [n]hands of Aaron and [o]in the [p]hands of his sons, and shall wave them as a wave offering before the Lord. 25 (Z)You shall take them from their hands, and offer them up in smoke on the altar on the burnt offering for a soothing aroma before the Lord; it is an offering by fire to the Lord.
26 “Then you shall take (AA)the breast of Aaron’s ram of [q]ordination, and wave it as a wave offering before the Lord; and it shall be your portion. 27 You shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering which was waved and which was [r]offered from the ram of [s]ordination, from the one which was for Aaron and from the one which was for his sons. 28 It shall be for Aaron and his sons as their portion forever from the sons of Israel, for it is a heave offering; and it shall be a heave offering from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, even their heave offering to the Lord.
29 “(AB)The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, [t]that in them they may be anointed and ordained. 30 For seven days the one of his sons who is priest in his stead shall put them on when he enters the tent of meeting to minister in the holy place.
Food of the Priests
31 “You shall take the ram of [u]ordination and (AC)boil its flesh in a holy place. 32 Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that is in the basket, at the doorway of the tent of meeting. 33 Thus (AD)they shall eat [v]those things by which atonement was made [w]at their ordination and consecration; but a [x](AE)layman shall not eat them, because they are holy. 34 (AF)If any of the flesh of [y]ordination or any of the bread remains until morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire; it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.
35 “Thus you shall do to Aaron and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded you; you shall [z]ordain them through (AG)seven days. 36 (AH)Each day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement, and you shall [aa]purify the altar when you make atonement [ab]for it, and (AI)you shall anoint it to consecrate it. 37 For seven days you shall make atonement [ac]for the altar and consecrate it; then (AJ)the altar shall be most holy, and whatever touches the altar shall be holy.
38 “Now (AK)this is what you shall offer on the altar: two one year old lambs each day, continuously. 39 The (AL)one lamb you shall offer in the morning and the [ad]other lamb you shall offer at [ae]twilight; 40 and there shall be one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering with one lamb. 41 The [af]other lamb you shall offer at [ag]twilight, and shall offer with it [ah]the same grain offering and [ai]the same drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord. 42 It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the doorway of the tent of meeting before the Lord, (AM)where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. 43 I will meet there with the sons of Israel, and it shall be consecrated by My glory. 44 I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar; I will also consecrate Aaron and his sons to minister as priests to Me. 45 (AN)I will dwell among the sons of Israel and will be their God. 46 They shall know that (AO)I am the Lord their God who brought them out of the land of Egypt, that I might dwell among them; I am the Lord their God.
