⁴ You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and wash them with water.^{(A) 5} Then you shall take the vestments and put on Aaron the tunic and the robe of the ephod and the ephod and the breastpiece and gird him with the decorated band of the ephod,^{(B) 6} and you shall set the turban on his head and put the holy diadem on the turban.^{(C) 7} You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.^{(D) 8} Then you shall bring his sons and put tunics on them,^{(E) 9} and you shall gird them, Aaron and his sons, with sashes and tie headdresses on them, and the priesthood shall be theirs by a perpetual ordinance. You shall then ordain Aaron and his sons.^(F)

¹⁹ When they go out into the outer court to the people, they shall remove the vestments in which they have been ministering and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments, so that they may not communicate holiness to the people with their vestments.^(A)

⁴ The angel^[a] said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And to him he said, “See, I have taken your guilt away from you, and I will clothe you with festal apparel.”^(A)

⁵ And he said,^[a] “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with apparel, and the angel of the Lord was standing by.^(A)
