Oil for the Lamp

20 (A)“You shall command the people of Israel that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, that a lamp may regularly be set up to burn. 21 (B)In the tent of meeting, (C)outside the veil that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening to morning before the Lord. It shall be a statute forever to be observed throughout their generations by the people of Israel.

20 “And you are to command the Israelis to bring you pure olive oil, extracted by hand,[a] for the light in order to keep the lamp burning[b] continuously. 21 In the Tent of Meeting, outside the curtain that is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to maintain[c] the lamp stand[d] from evening until morning in the Lord’s presence. It is to be a perpetual ordinance from generation to generation among the Israelis.”
