The Altar of Burnt Offering(A)

27 You shall make an altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide.[a] The altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.[b] You shall make its horns on its four corners. Its horns shall be part of it, and you shall overlay it with bronze. You shall make its pots for its ashes, and its shovels, and its basins, and its meat hooks, and its fire pans. You shall make all of its vessels out of bronze. You shall make a grating for it, a network of bronze, and on the net you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners. You shall put it under the ledge of the altar beneath, so that the net will reach halfway up the altar. You shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze. The poles shall be put into the rings, so that the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar when carrying it. You shall make it hollow with boards. Just as it was shown you on the mountain, so shall they make it.

The Court of the Tabernacle(B)

You shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side there shall be curtains for the court of fine twined linen one hundred cubits long[c] for one side; 10 and it shall have twenty pillars with twenty bronze sockets. The hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver. 11 Likewise for the north side in length there shall be curtains one hundred cubits long, and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of bronze. The hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver.

12 For the width of the court on the west side shall be curtains of fifty cubits[d] with their ten pillars and their ten sockets. 13 The width of the court on the east side shall be fifty cubits. 14 The curtains on one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits[e] with their three pillars and their three sockets. 15 On the other side shall be curtains fifteen cubits with their three pillars and their three sockets.

16 For the gate of the court there shall be a curtain of twenty cubits,[f] of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer, with their four pillars and their four sockets. 17 All the pillars around about the court shall be furnished with silver bands. Their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of bronze. 18 The length of the court shall be one hundred cubits, and the width fifty[g] throughout, and the height five cubits[h] of fine twisted linen, and their sockets of bronze. 19 All the utensils of the tabernacle used in all its service, and all its tent pegs, and all the tent pegs of the court shall be of bronze.

The Oil for the Lamp(C)

20 You shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of olive pressed for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually. 21 In the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall arrange it from evening to morning before the Lord. It shall be a perpetual statute for the children of Israel for generations to come.

The Altar of Burnt Offering

27 “You(A) are to construct the altar of acacia wood. The altar must be square, 7½ feet long, and 7½ feet wide;[a] it must be 4½ feet high.[b] Make horns for it on its four corners; the horns are to be of one piece.[c] Overlay it with bronze.(B) Make its pots for removing ashes, and its shovels, basins, meat forks, and firepans; make all its utensils of bronze. Construct a grate for it of bronze mesh, and make four bronze rings on the mesh at its four corners. Set it below, under the altar’s ledge,[d] so that the mesh comes halfway up[e] the altar. Then make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze. The poles are to be inserted into the rings so that the poles are on two sides of the altar when it is carried. Construct the altar with boards so that it is hollow. They are to make it just as it was shown to you on the mountain.(C)

The Courtyard

“You(D) are to make the courtyard for the tabernacle. Make the hangings on the south of the courtyard out of finely spun linen, 150 feet[f] long on that side. 10 There are to be 20 posts and 20 bronze bases. The hooks and bands[g] of the posts must be silver. 11 Then make the hangings on the north side 150 feet[h] long. There are to be 20 posts and 20 bronze bases. The hooks and bands[i] of the posts must be silver. 12 Make the hangings of the courtyard on the west side 75 feet[j] long, including their 10 posts and 10 bases. 13 Make the hangings of the courtyard on the east side toward the sunrise 75 feet.[k] 14 Make the hangings on one side of the gate 22½ feet,[l] including their three posts and their three bases. 15 And make the hangings on the other side 22½ feet,[m] including their three posts and their three bases. 16 The gate of the courtyard is to have a thirty-foot[n] screen(E) embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. It is to have four posts including their four bases.

17 “All the posts around the courtyard are to be banded with silver and have silver hooks and bronze bases. 18 The length of the courtyard is to be 150 feet, the width 75 feet at each end, and the height 7½ feet,[o] all of it made of finely spun linen. The bases of the posts must be bronze. 19 All the tools of the tabernacle for every use and all its tent pegs as well as all the tent pegs of the courtyard are to be made of bronze.

The Lampstand Oil

20 “You are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil from crushed olives for the light, in order to keep the lamp burning continually. 21 In the tent of meeting outside the veil that is in front of the testimony,(F) Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamp(G) from evening until morning before the Lord. This is to be a permanent statute(H) for the Israelites throughout their generations.

27 And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.

And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.

And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass.

And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof.

And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.

And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.

And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.

Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.

And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side:

10 And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.

11 And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.

12 And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.

13 And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.

14 The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.

15 And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.

16 And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four.

17 All the pillars round about the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass.

18 The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.

19 All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.

20 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.

21 In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the Lord: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
