⁸ And they shall make me a sanctuary so that I may dwell among them.^(A)

¹⁶ What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we^[a] are the temple of the living God, as God said,

¹³ I will dwell among the Israelites and will not forsake my people Israel.”^(A)

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

⁴⁵ I will dwell among the Israelites, and I will be their God.^(A)

The Earthly and the Heavenly Sanctuaries

9 Now^[a] the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly sanctuary. ² For a tent^[b] was constructed, the first one, in which were the lampstand, the table, and the bread of the Presence;^[c] this is called the holy place.^(A)

¹⁰ Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion! For I will come and dwell in your midst, says the Lord.^(A)

⁶ Christ, however, was faithful over God’s^[a] house as a son, and we are his house if we hold firm^[b] the boldness and the pride inspired by hope.^(A)

³ Thus says the Lord: I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts shall be called the holy mountain.^(A)
