¹⁶ You shall ^(A)put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.

¹⁸ When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses ^(A)the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, ^(B)written by the finger of God.

^15 (A)Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain. And the two tablets of the testimony were in his hand, ^(B)tablets which were written on both ^[a]sides; they were written on one side and the other.

⁹ When I went up to the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh had cut with you, then I remained on the mountain forty days and nights; ^(A)I neither ate bread nor drank water.

¹¹ Now it happened ^(A)at the end of forty days and nights, that Yahweh gave me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant.

¹⁵ “^(A)So I turned and came down from the mountain while the mountain was burning with fire, and the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.

³ So ^(A)I made an ark of acacia wood and ^(B)carved out two tablets of stone like the former ones and went up on the mountain with the two tablets in my hand. ⁴ And He wrote on the tablets, like the former writing, ^(C)the Ten ^[a]Commandments ^(D)which Yahweh had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire ^(E)on the day of the assembly; and Yahweh gave them to me. ⁵ Then I turned and ^(F)came down from the mountain and ^(G)put the tablets in the ark which I had made; ^(H)and there they are, as Yahweh commanded me.”
