32 (A)You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.
12 (A)Take care, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you go, lest it become a (B)snare in your midst.
2 (A)and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; (B)you shall break down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed my voice. What is this you have done?
10 “When you draw near to a city to fight against it, (A)offer terms of peace to it.
14 And the men said to her, “Our life for yours even to death! If you do not tell this business of ours, then when the Lord gives us the land (A)we will deal kindly and faithfully with you.”
18 But the people of Israel did not attack them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the Lord, the God of Israel. Then all the congregation murmured against the leaders.
24 And the spies saw a man coming out of the city, and they said to him, “Please show us the way into the city, (A)and we will deal kindly with you.”
