Exodus 22:28-31

28 “You shall not revile God or curse a leader of your people.(A)
29 “You shall not delay to make offerings from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses.[a]
“The firstborn of your sons you shall give to me.(B) 30 You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep: seven days it shall remain with its mother; on the eighth day you shall give it to me.(C)
31 “You shall be people consecrated to me, so you shall not eat any meat that is mangled by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.(D)

28 “You are not to blaspheme God or curse a ruler of your people.
29 “You are not to hold back the fullness of your harvest[a] and the outflow of your wine presses.[b] You are to give to me the firstborn of your sons. 30 You are to do the same with your oxen and your sheep. They are to be with their mother for seven days and then on the eighth day you are to give them to me.
31 “You are to be people set apart[c] for me. You are not to eat flesh torn apart in the field; you are to throw it to the dogs.”
