24 You shall make (A)an altar of earth for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your (B)burnt offerings and your (C)peace offerings, (D)your sheep and your oxen; in every place (E)where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you. 25 And if you make an altar of stone for Me, (F)you shall not build it of cut stones, for if you wield your tool on it, you will profane it. 26 And you shall not go up by steps to My altar, so that (G)your nakedness will not be exposed on it.’

24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in every place where I [a]record my name I will come unto thee and I will bless thee. 25 And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stones; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. 26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not uncovered thereon.
