The Ten Commandments

20 Then God spoke all these words, saying,

Testimony of the Father

³⁷ And the Father who sent Me, ^(A)He has testified about Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. ³⁸ Also you do not have ^(B)His word remaining in you, because you do not believe Him whom He ^(C)sent.

Testimony of the Scripture

^39 [a](D)You examine the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is ^(E)those very Scriptures that testify about Me; ⁴⁰ and yet you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

³⁵ If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be nullified),

¹⁸ I testify to everyone who hears ^(A)the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone ^(B)adds to them, God will add to him ^(C)the plagues that are written in ^(D)this book;

² in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the Lord to ^(A)Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, ^(B)seventy years.

^35 (A)Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

¹¹ Now these people were more noble-minded than those in ^(A)Thessalonica, ^[a]for they received the word with ^[b]great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
