¹¹ ¶ And in those days, when Moses was ^[a]grown, he went forth unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: also he saw an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew one of his brethren.

¹² And he looked ^[a]round about, and when he saw no man, he ^[b]slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

^24 (A)And when he saw one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged his quarrel that had the harm done to him, and smote the Egyptian.

²⁵ For he supposed his brethren would have understood, that God by his hand should give them deliverance: but they understood it not.
