Exodus 17:14-16
New American Standard Bible
14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “(A)Write this in [a]a book as a memorial and [b]recite it to Joshua, [c]that (B)I will utterly wipe out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 And Moses built an (C)altar and named it (D)The Lord is My Banner; 16 and he said, “[d](E)Because the Lord has sworn, the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation.”

14 Then the Lord said to Moses, (A)“Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that (B)I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 And Moses built an altar and called its name, [a]The-Lord-Is-My-Banner; 16 for he said, “Because [b]the Lord has (C)sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
