¹¹ And so it was, when Moses ^(A)held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. ¹² But Moses’ hands became ^[a]heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. ¹³ So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

^40 (B)When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. ^41 (C)And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, ^(D)“You are ^[a]the Christ, the Son of God!”

And He, ^(E)rebuking them, did not allow them to ^[b]speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.

¹⁷ And these ^(A)signs will follow those who ^[a]believe: ^(B)In My name they will cast out demons; ^(C)they will speak with new tongues; ^18 (D)they^[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; ^(E)they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
