²² And so it was, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. ²³ Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is ^(A)a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’ ” ²⁴ So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not ^(B)stink, nor were there any worms in it. ²⁵ Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field. ^26 (C)Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none.”

²⁷ Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. ²⁸ And the Lord said to Moses, “How long ^(D)do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws? ²⁹ See! For the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” ³⁰ So the people rested on the seventh day.

³¹ And the house of Israel called its name ^[a]Manna. And ^(E)it was like white coriander seed, and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

³² Then Moses said, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded: ‘Fill an omer with it, to be kept for your generations, that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’ ” ³³ And Moses said to Aaron, ^(F)“Take a pot and put an omer of manna in it, and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations.” ³⁴ As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up ^(G)before the Testimony, to be kept. ³⁵ And the children of Israel ^(H)ate manna ^(I)forty years, ^(J)until they came to an inhabited land; they ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan. ³⁶ Now an omer is one-tenth of an ephah.

Before Abraham Was, I AM

⁴⁸ Then the Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and ^(A)have a demon?”

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and ^(B)you dishonor Me. ⁵⁰ And ^(C)I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. ⁵¹ Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(D)if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”

⁵² Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You ^(E)have a demon! ^(F)Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ ⁵³ Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. ^(G)Who do You make Yourself out to be?”

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, ^(H)“If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. ^(I)It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is ^[a]your God. ⁵⁵ Yet ^(J)you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and ^(K)keep His word. ⁵⁶ Your father Abraham ^(L)rejoiced to see My day, ^(M)and he saw it and was glad.”

⁵⁷ Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(N)before Abraham was, ^(O)I AM.”

⁵⁹ Then ^(P)they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, ^(Q)going^[b] through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Christ on a White Horse

^11 (A)Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, ^(B)a white horse. And He who sat on him was called ^(C)Faithful and True, and ^(D)in righteousness He judges and makes war. ^12 (E)His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. ^(F)He ^[a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. ^13 (G)He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(H)The Word of God. ^14 (I)And the armies in heaven, ^(J)clothed in ^[b]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. ¹⁵ Now ^(K)out of His mouth goes a ^[c]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And ^(L)He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. ^(M)He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶ And ^(N)He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

^(O)KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

The Beast and His Armies Defeated

¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, ^(P)“Come and gather together for the ^[d]supper of the great God, ^18 (Q)that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, ^[e]free and slave, both small and great.”

^19 (R)And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. ^20 (S)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(T)those who worshiped his image. ^(U)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(V)burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest ^(W)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. ^(X)And all the birds ^(Y)were filled with their flesh.
