² “The Lord is my strength^(A) and my defense^[a];
    he has become my salvation.^(B)
He is my God,^(C) and I will praise him,
    my father’s God, and I will exalt^(D) him.

⁵ Guide me in your truth^(A) and teach me,
    for you are God my Savior,^(B)
    and my hope is in you^(C) all day long.

“Surely this is our God;^(B)
    we trusted^(C) in him, and he saved^(D) us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him;
    let us rejoice^(E) and be glad in his salvation.”^(F)

⁷ But as for me, I watch^(A) in hope^(B) for the Lord,
    I wait for God my Savior;
    my God will hear^(C) me.
