²⁵ Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God within the land.” ²⁶ But Moses said, “It would not be right to do so, for the offerings we shall sacrifice to the Lord our God are an ^(A)abomination to the Egyptians. If we sacrifice offerings ^(B)abominable to the Egyptians before their eyes, will they not stone us? ²⁷ We must go ^(C)three days' journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God ^(D)as he tells us.” ²⁸ So Pharaoh said, “I will let you go to sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only you must not go very far away. ^(E)Plead for me.”

⁸ So Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh. And he said to them, ^(A)“Go, serve the Lord your God. But which ones are to go?”

²⁴ Then Pharaoh called Moses and said, ^(A)“Go, serve the Lord; ^(B)your little ones also may go with you; only let your flocks and your herds remain behind.”

³¹ Then he summoned Moses and Aaron by night and said, “Up, go out from among my people, ^(A)both you and the people of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as you have said. ^32 (B)Take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone, and bless me also!”
