^3 (A)I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as ^(B)God Almighty, but by My name ^(C)Lord^[a] I was not known to them. ^4 (D)I have also ^[b]established My covenant with them, ^(E)to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their ^[c]pilgrimage, ^(F)in which they were ^[d]strangers. ⁵ And ^(G)I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.
