23 So I say to you, let My son go that he may serve Me. But if you refuse to let him go, indeed (A)I will kill your son, your firstborn.” ’ ”
24 And it came to pass on the way, at the (B)encampment, that the Lord (C)met him and sought to (D)kill him. 25 Then (E)Zipporah took (F)a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and [a]cast it at [b]Moses’ feet, and said, “Surely you are a husband of blood to me!”

24 At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met Moses[a] and was about to kill(D) him. 25 But Zipporah(E) took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin(F) and touched Moses’ feet with it.[b] “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me,” she said.
