⁷ He made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work ^[a]at the two ends of the mercy seat; ⁸ one cherub ^[b]at the one end and one cherub ^[c]at the other end; from one piece he made the mercy seat with the cherubim ^[d]at its two ends. ⁹ The cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

^10 (A)Then in the room of the Holy of Holies he made two cherubim of fashioned work and overlaid them with gold. ¹¹ Now the wingspan of the cherubim was twenty cubits; the wing of one, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and its other wing, of five cubits, touched the wing of the other cherub. ¹² And the wing of the other cherub, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house; and its other wing of five cubits was attached to the wing of the ^[a]first cherub.
