⁶And he made a mercy seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half was its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth.

New International Version

⁶He made the atonement cover^(A) of pure gold—two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.

⁵Above it were ^(A)the cherubim of glory overshadowing ^(B)the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

⁵Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory,^(A) overshadowing the atonement cover.^(B) But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
