6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, (A)compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and [a]truth; 7 who (B)keeps faithfulness for thousands, who forgives wrongdoing, violation of His Law, and sin; yet He (C)will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, (D)inflicting the [b]punishment of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.” 8 And Moses hurried [c](E)to bow low toward the ground and worship.

6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate(A) and gracious God, slow to anger,(B) abounding in love(C) and faithfulness,(D) 7 maintaining love to thousands,(E) and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.(F) Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished;(G) he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”(H)
8 Moses bowed to the ground at once and worshiped.

6 And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
