⁶ Then Yahweh passed by in front of him and called out, “Yahweh, Yahweh God, ^(A)compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and ^[a]truth;

⁹ For ^(A)when you return to Yahweh, your brothers and your sons will find compassion before those who led them captive and will return to this land. ^(B)For Yahweh your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.”

Therefore I went ahead to ^(B)flee to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a ^(C)gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning evil.
