^5 (A)Then Yahweh descended in the cloud and stood there with him, and ^[a]He called upon the name of Yahweh. ⁶ Then Yahweh passed by in front of him and called out, “Yahweh, Yahweh God, ^(B)compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and ^[b]truth; ⁷ who ^(C)keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression, and sin; yet He ^(D)will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, ^(E)visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

³ Then Moses said to Aaron, “It is what Yahweh spoke, saying,

So Aaron kept silent.

¹⁰ But he said to her, “You speak as one of the wickedly foolish women speaks. ^(A)Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept calamity?” ^(B)In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

^8 (A)Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of Yahweh which you have spoken is good.” For he said, “For there will be peace and truth ^(B)in my days.”
