31 So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Ah, this people has committed a grave sin in making a god of gold for themselves! 32 Now if you would only forgive their sin! But if you will not, then blot me out of the book that you have written.”[a] 33 The Lord answered Moses: Only the one who has sinned against me will I blot out of my book.

31 So Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed!(A) They have made themselves gods of gold.(B) 32 But now, please forgive their sin(C)—but if not, then blot me(D) out of the book(E) you have written.”
33 The Lord replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out(F) of my book.
