¹² Why should ^(A)the Egyptians speak, saying, ‘With evil intent He brought them out to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent concerning doing harm to Your people.

⁴ And Yahweh said to Moses, “Take all who are the heads of the people and execute them ^[a]in broad daylight before Yahweh, ^(A)so that the burning anger of Yahweh may turn away from Israel.”
