^7-8From now on, when Aaron takes care of the lamps each morning and evening, he must burn sweet-smelling incense to me on the altar.

New International Version

⁷“Aaron must burn fragrant incense^(A) on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.

^7-8From now on, when Aaron takes care of the lamps each morning and evening, he must burn sweet-smelling incense to me on the altar.

⁸He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come.^(A)

¹⁰who have been appointed to be priests. Anyone else who tries to perform the duties of a priest must be put to death.

¹⁰Appoint Aaron^(A) and his sons to serve as priests;^(B) anyone else who approaches the sanctuary is to be put to death.”^(C)
