GOD’S WORD Translation
6 I am the God of your ancestors,[a] the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.
7 The Lord said, “I have seen the misery of my people in Egypt, and I have heard them crying out because of the slave drivers. I know how much they’re suffering. 8 I have come to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good land with plenty of room ⌞for everyone⌟. It is a land flowing with milk and honey where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites live.

6 Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.”(A) At this, Moses hid(B) his face, because he was afraid to look at God.(C)
7 The Lord said, “I have indeed seen(D) the misery(E) of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned(F) about their suffering.(G) 8 So I have come down(H) to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land,(I) a land flowing with milk and honey(J)—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites(K) and Jebusites.(L)
